Bayesian Superyacht Raised Off Sicily After Fatal 2024 Sinking

The Bayesian superyacht, owned by British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, was successfully raised from the seabed off the coast of Sicily after sinking during a violent storm in August 2024, which caused the loss of seven lives including Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter. The 56-meter yacht sank rapidly within 16 minutes after being hit by a violent downburst that snapped its mast, although experts believe the vessel should have withstood the weather conditions.
