Renault Appoints Former Mercedes VP Katrin Adt CEO of Dacia Brand

Renault Group has appointed Katrin Adt, former Mercedes-Benz vice president, as the new CEO of its Dacia brand, succeeding Denis Le Vot who is leaving the company. Adt brings nearly 26 years of automotive industry experience, including leadership roles such as CEO of the Smart brand and Mercedes-Benz Own Retail Europe, and is recognized for leading major transformations including Smart's transition to an all-electric brand. She will report to Renault Group's Chief Growth Officer, Fabrice Cambolive, and join the group's Leadership Team. Renault aims to accelerate Dacia's expansion and electrification, with plans to position it as a leading affordable electric vehicle brand in Europe. Renault Group CEO François Provost expressed gratitude for Le Vot's contributions in strengthening Dacia's market position and welcomed Adt's expertise to guide the brand through upcoming challenges. The move reflects Renault's broader strategy to enhance agility and customer focus amid increasing competition and market changes.
