Schroders Capital appoints Vikram Bhandari as CIO

Schroders Capital has appointed Vikram Bhandari as the head and chief investment officer of its newly-created Schroders Capital Solutions. Bhandari, who previously expanded BlackRock’s multi-alternatives private markets solutions in EMEA, will be tasked with driving business growth and managing private markets investment solutions from London. He will report to Ingo Heinen, global head of business development and product, and is expected to enhance Schroders' capabilities in private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and private debt. Bhandari's extensive experience in managing diverse asset classes positions him well to meet the evolving demands of a broader client base seeking diversification and returns. His leadership aims to strengthen Schroders' client-centric approach and expand its global presence in the private markets landscape. The appointment comes as Schroders Capital continues to grow, with assets currently at €90.8bn (£77bn).
