Police Seize Hundreds Cannabis Plants Across Multiple UK Locations
Recent police operations in various UK locations have resulted in significant cannabis-related seizures and arrests. In Great Yarmouth, Operation Foxtail led to the arrest of Amarildo Zefi for possession with intent to supply cannabis after stopping 35 vehicles, with numerous traffic offences also reported. A separate raid in Lowestoft uncovered over 170 cannabis plants, though no arrests have been made yet. In Derby, Alex Woodward was convicted for possessing more than 1kg of cannabis along with dealer equipment, receiving a suspended jail sentence following delays in forensic analysis. Cambridgeshire Police found around 400 cannabis plants worth over £400,000 growing in caravans and sheds in Ramsey, with investigations ongoing and no arrests made. Additionally, two men in Bradford, Shiraz Ali and Ahmed Shahid, pleaded guilty to cannabis supply-related charges following a 2020 arrest, receiving community orders due to delays in the case and their subsequent good conduct.
