Shamrock Rovers Secure 2025 League Title

Shamrock Rovers secured the 2025 League of Ireland Premier Division title — their 22nd overall and fifth in six seasons — with a 1-0 win over Galway United at Tallaght thanks to Dylan Watts’s superb late free-kick in the 74th/75th minute. The victory, sealed with a game to spare after a nervy run in recent weeks, capped a dominant league campaign under manager Stephen Bradley. Bradley rotated his side, making six changes and handing league debuts to Cian Barrett and Max Kovalevskis. Galway remain in a three-way fight to avoid the relegation play-off and head to Waterford needing to avoid defeat on the final day. With the league secured, Rovers now turn to a final league match at Sligo, a UEFA Conference League trip to AEK Athens next week, and the FAI Cup final against Cork City on Nov. 9 with a cup win offering their first domestic double since 1986–87.
