American Dream Mall Evacuated Due to Suspicious Vehicle

The American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, was evacuated on Tuesday evening due to a suspicious vehicle. Security initially discovered a legally parked Tesla with its driver's door left open, prompting K-9 units to conduct sweeps that returned positive alerts. As a precaution, the mall was evacuated, and additional K-9 units and bomb squads from New Jersey State Police and Bergen County were deployed, but no explosives were found. The area was declared safe by around 8:50 p.m., allowing employees and visitors to return. Despite initial concerns, no dangerous devices were identified, and the investigation concluded without further incident.
