Initiatives Launched to Combat Domestic Violence

The campaign, themed 'SGBV? Not On My Watch!', included workshops and resource distribution to foster awareness among youth. In Punjab, the 'Saanjh Rahat Project' was launched to support victims of domestic violence by connecting them with vital resources and services, starting with a pilot program at a local hospital. Researcher Dr. Jessica Harris received funding for a project aimed at combating youth sexual violence and abuse in Indigenous communities in Australia, focusing on local needs and community engagement. Additionally, Tasmania is hosting workshops to educate government and non-government representatives on recognizing coercive control in family violence, aiming for broader cultural change. Collectively, these initiatives highlight a global commitment to combat violence against vulnerable populations through education, support, and community involvement.
