An e-bike rider, Jaiveer, was arrested in Gurugram for allegedly molesting an air hostess during her ride from east Delhi to Dwarka on the night of August 7-8. The woman claimed that Jaiveer stopped the bike due to rain and then groped and assaulted her in a secluded area near Simon Bolivar Marg. When she resisted, he attempted to drag her into a forested area but fled when a passing SUV driver intervened. The victim, traumatized, reported the incident to the police through a friend's mother. Jaiveer, who had a prior criminal record, was detained within 12 hours. The ride service, inDrive, expressed regret over the incident and assured full cooperation with the investigation.
