Tennis Clubs Honor Top Players at Year-End Events

The Haapsalu Tennis Club celebrated a successful year with a doubles tournament and awards recognizing top players, including Maily Märss and Karin Kanepi among adults, and Patrik Rainer Kaljula and Adele Lumiste among youth, who collectively earned over 90 prize placements in various competitions. Overport Park Tennis Club also honored dedicated members with Tennis Service Awards, highlighting Lynda and Bruce Weatherly's leadership and contributions, as well as Mark Muir's efforts in promoting female participation in tennis. Meanwhile, the WTA Awards Week recognized Aryna Sabalenka as Player of the Year for her stellar performance, including two Grand Slam victories. The Italian doubles team of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini was named Doubles Team of the Year after winning multiple titles, including Olympic gold. Additionally, Australian tennis stars gathered for the Newcombe Medal awards in Melbourne, reflecting on their achievements and the importance of community in the sport.
