Third Victim Identified in Spotsylvania Mass Shooting
The April 8 mass shooting in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, has resulted in three fatalities and three injuries, stemming from a botched illegal gun sale and robbery. The third victim has been identified as Sincere Devon Fitz, 19, joining the previously identified Chase Feaster and Alonzo Goffney, both 18, as those killed. Four teenagers have been charged in connection with the incident, including 18-year-old Jeremiah Upson and three juveniles aged 16 and 17, all facing charges of malicious wounding and firearm use in a felony. The incident involved a chaotic shootout in the Olde Greenwich neighborhood, prompting an intensive police response and a temporary shelter-in-place order. A nearby resident reportedly shot one of the suspects during the incident, but no innocent bystanders were harmed. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, along with other law enforcement agencies, has been praised for their swift actions in resolving the case, which has left the local community shaken.
