Seahawks Sign Sims and Saubert to Strengthen Roster

The Seattle Seahawks have signed wide receiver Steven Sims and tight end Eric Saubert to bolster their roster. Sims, previously with the Texans and Ravens, is recognized for his special teams contributions, averaging 5.8 yards on punt returns and 27.9 yards on kickoff returns in 2024. With 78 career catches, Sims is expected to continue his role as a return specialist with Seattle. Saubert, a former 49ers player, joins the Seahawks after playing for several NFL teams, including notable stints with the Broncos and Falcons. He played 17 games for the 49ers last season, totaling 11 receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown. Saubert is anticipated to serve as a depth option behind primary tight end Noah Fant and rookie AJ Barner, bringing experience and versatility to Seattle's tight end unit.
