Mizzou Hosts Multiple Meets Ahead of 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championship
The University of Missouri will host three of its four regular season cross country meets, as well as the 2025 NCAA Championship at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, marking the first time Columbia has hosted the event. The Tigers' 2025 season kicks off with the Mizzou Opener in late August, followed by a single regular-season road meet at the Greeno Dirksen Cross Country Invite in Nebraska, then returns home for the Gans Creek Classic and Pre-National Invitational. Postseason competition includes the Southeastern Conference Championship in Tennessee and the NCAA Midwest Championship in Oklahoma before culminating in the NCAA Championship at Gans Creek. The University of North Alabama's cross country teams will also compete at several familiar meets including the Southern Showcase and the Gans Creek Classic, which is known for its highly competitive field. Missouri coach Kyle Levermore highlighted the strength of the returning team and new additions, while North Alabama's coach Connor Callahan emphasized the quality of the courses and competition that will prepare his teams for the ASUN Championships and regionals. The Gans Creek Course has emerged as a premier venue for collegiate cross country, attracting top teams and hosting significant events throughout the season.
