Hong Kong, Macao Promote Economic Collaboration at Investment Seminar

A recent investment promotion seminar in Macao, cohosted by Invest Hong Kong and the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of Macao, aimed to encourage Macao businesses to expand into Hong Kong. The seminar attracted around 90 representatives from various sectors, including retail and food and beverage, focusing on new business opportunities within Hong Kong's dynamic market. Presentations highlighted cost-effective business models such as shop-in-shop and shared-use kitchens, which can help Macao companies mitigate risks while entering Hong Kong. InvestHK officials emphasized Hong Kong's role as a vital platform for Macao businesses to connect with international markets, particularly appealing to the influx of tourists. The collaboration aims to strengthen economic ties and promote cross-border trade within the Greater Bay Area.
