Cardiff City to Sign Striker Yousef Salech

Cardiff City is close to finalizing a deal to sign Danish striker Yousef Salech from Swedish club Sirius, with the transfer expected to cost between £3m and £4m. The 22-year-old has had a successful season, scoring 13 goals in 29 appearances, and Cardiff hopes he will bolster their struggling attack, having managed only 26 goals in 26 league games this season. Manager Omer Riza expressed optimism about completing the signing before Saturday's South Wales derby against Swansea City, stating that they are actively pursuing multiple options to enhance their squad. Cardiff had also targeted Peterborough United's Ricky-Jade Jones but faced a setback with their offer being rejected. The club's need for additional attacking options is pressing, especially with their current forwards underperforming. If Salech is registered in time, he could debut in the derby match.
