A 50-year-old Wayne County man won a $4 million jackpot on the Michigan Lottery's $4,000,000 Winner scratch-off game after buying the last three tickets at Superior Market in Ann Arbor, motivated by research that all top prizes were still available. He discovered the win by scanning the ticket on the Michigan Lottery app the next day and chose a lump sum payment of about $2.7 million, planning to pay off his home, travel, and save the rest. The game, launched in December 2023, has awarded over $72 million in prizes, with two $4 million top prizes still unclaimed. In a separate case, a Tuscola County man won $500,000 on a Detroit Tigers instant ticket after his preferred game was sold out. He plans to help his family and invest the winnings. Both winners chose to remain anonymous.
