Geely's vice president confirmed ongoing talks with Poland regarding a potential EV plant, but noted that the country does not consider Geely an ideal partner. Geely is also exploring various location options across Europe, with plans to launch a battery-electric car in Italy soon. As the European Commission plans stricter tariffs on imports, both companies are among those looking to circumvent these duties by producing locally. This trend reflects a broader shift among Chinese automakers to establish a presence in the European market to mitigate trade barriers.
