Angelina Jolie to Receive TIFF Tribute Award

Angelina Jolie will receive the TIFF Tribute Award in Impact Media at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8, recognizing her achievements in filmmaking and humanitarian efforts. The award ceremony will coincide with the world premiere of her latest film, Without Blood, a war drama based on Alessandro Baricco's novel, which stars Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir. TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey praised Jolie for her long-standing commitment to social justice and her ability to merge cinema with social impact. Alongside Jolie, other honorees include Amy Adams, Cate Blanchett, and David Cronenberg, with proceeds from the gala supporting TIFF's diversity and inclusion initiatives. This marks Jolie's return to TIFF following her previous engagements with films like First They Killed My Father and The Breadwinner. The festival runs from September 5 to 15, 2024.
