Five juveniles charged in $11,000 Putnam burglary
Several incidents involving juveniles and burglary have been reported across different states. In Putnam, five juveniles have been charged with burglary after allegedly stealing approximately $11,000 worth of merchandise from Sumo Distributors last July, following a monthslong investigation. The suspects, referred to the Court of Juvenile Matters, were identified after police responded to a burglary alarm at the business where the front door was smashed. Meanwhile, in Central Coast, Australia, six teens were charged with aggravated break and enter after allegedly threatening a homeowner with a machete during an attempted burglary. Additionally, in Illinois, a 19-year-old and two juveniles face charges related to a break-in at a bar where stolen items were recovered in a traffic stop. All cases highlight ongoing concerns regarding juvenile crime and the legal consequences faced by young offenders.
