Two Arrested in Maynard Asian Spa Prostitution Bust

Two women, Jianping Wu of Malden and Meiying Cheng of Flushing, New York, were arrested at the Asian Spa at 107 Main Street in Maynard, Massachusetts, after a multi-agency investigation into alleged prostitution and organized illegal activity. The investigation was initiated following community reports and involved local, state, and federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Authorities executed a search warrant, seizing cash, cell phones, checks, account information, and ledgers indicating organized prostitution. Wu and Cheng face several charges, including deriving support from prostitution, inducing prostitution on premises, keeping a house of prostitution, and engaging in sexual conduct for a fee. Maynard Police Chief Christopher Troiano credited the community for its vigilance and reaffirmed the town's stance against such activities. Both women are scheduled for arraignment in Concord District Court.
