Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner has revealed harrowing details of his near-fatal snowplow accident on New Year's Day 2023, during which he was crushed by a 14,000-pound snowcat and suffered over 30 broken bones, massive blood loss, and hypothermia. In his memoir 'My Next Breath' and various interviews, Renner recounts lying on the ice for 45 minutes, manually breathing and eventually experiencing what he describes as death—a state of peaceful, connected energy where he could see his entire life. Paramedics later confirmed his heart rate had dropped to a near-fatal level.
