Shardul Thakur Joins LSG as Mohsin's Replacement

Shardul Thakur has been signed by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as a replacement for injured pacer Mohsin Khan ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Thakur, who went unsold at the IPL mega-auction, joins the team at his base price of Rs 2 crore and is expected to play alongside Shamar Joseph against Delhi Capitals in Vizag. Mohsin Khan, who sustained both an ACL tear and a calf injury, is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy and is not expected to play in the first half of the season. LSG faces a significant injury crisis with other key pacers like Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, and Akash Deep also sidelined due to various injuries. The team management, led by mentor Zaheer Khan, is prepared for a dynamic approach amidst these uncertainties.
