Two Bay Shore Sisters Charged in Mastic Stabbing

Two Bay Shore sisters, Diamond King, 18, and Myia King-Harrison, 19, have been charged with first-degree gang assault and first-degree assault after allegedly stabbing 21-year-old Nico Cassetana outside a home on Dana Avenue in Mastic around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25. Family and police say Cassetana was defending his 14-year-old sister, who had allegedly been targeted by the two women, when the attack occurred. Cassetana was stabbed in the back, suffered a punctured artery, and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital—some reports say he was airlifted—where he underwent multiple surgeries and remained in a medically induced coma. The sisters initially fled but were arrested the next day and arraigned in First District Court.
