Genesis Reveals X Gran Equator, GMR-001 at NY

At the 2025 New York International Auto Show, Genesis unveiled the X Gran Equator Concept, its first adventure and overlanding SUV, featuring rugged off-road capability, analog-inspired minimalist interiors, and 24-inch all-terrain wheels. The concept is not confirmed for production but signals a new direction for Genesis SUVs. Genesis also debuted the GMR-001 hypercar, equipped with a unique hybrid powertrain that includes a twin-turbo V8 derived from Hyundai’s WRC engines, developed in partnership with Oreca Motorsport. The GMR-001 is slated to compete in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship, marking Genesis's entry into top-tier endurance racing.
