Syracuse OC Jeff Nixon signs multi-year contract extension

Syracuse football's offensive coordinator Jeff Nixon has signed a multi-year contract extension that includes a significant raise, placing him among the highest-paid coordinators in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Under his direction, the team achieved the nation's top passing offense in 2024, with quarterback Kyle McCord setting the ACC single-season passing record. This performance contributed to a successful season for Syracuse, which finished with a 10-3 record and a Holiday Bowl victory. Nixon, who previously interviewed for offensive coordinator positions with the Houston Texans as well as multiple college head coaching jobs, has a strong background in both college and NFL coaching. His hiring has been pivotal for new head coach Fran Brown as they aim to build on last season's success. Syracuse will retain both of its coordinators for the upcoming season.
