The Darkness Announces New Album and UK Tour

The Darkness have announced their upcoming eighth studio album titled 'Dreams On Toast', set for release on March 28, 2025. The album, a follow-up to 2021's 'Motorheart', features the new single 'The Longest Kiss', described as a lively, piano-led track reminiscent of Electric Light Orchestra's 'Mr. Blue Sky'. Frontman Justin Hawkins expressed the band's creative process, humorously attributing their inspiration to divine intervention and their own extraordinary abilities. He shared the story behind 'The Longest Kiss', highlighting its origins from a moment of inspiration in the Scottish Highlands and its connection to a musical he has been developing about the decline of the Lowestoft fishing industry.
