FL and GA Sandbag Sites for Tropical Storm Helene

In response to the impending Tropical Storm Helene, various counties and cities across Florida and Georgia are opening sandbag distribution sites to help residents prepare for potential flooding and heavy rainfall. Richmond Hill, GA, and Thomas County, GA, are among the areas offering free sandbags, with residents required to fill their own bags. In Florida, Escambia, Orange, Seminole, Volusia, and Pinellas counties have announced similar measures, with some sites operating 24/7. Pinellas County experienced a shortage at one site but redirected residents to another location. Additionally, Jacksonville and Tallahassee have set up multiple sandbag distribution points to aid local preparedness efforts.
