TMNT Chrome Alone 2 Releases Animated Short Exploring New Jersey

Paramount Pictures is releasing an animated short film titled 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 - Lost in New Jersey,' directed by Kent Seki, which follows the Ninja Turtles as they leave their usual New York setting to navigate the unfamiliar and quirky environment of New Jersey. The story centers on the turtles trying to stop a mysterious toy company from exploiting their newfound fame, leading them into a larger mystery. The short aims to honor the classic Ninja Turtles' spirit while introducing fresh elements, blending slapstick comedy, gritty animation, and heartfelt moments, with a tone inspired by 1990s family comedies. Seki emphasized the importance of maintaining the beloved personalities of the turtles—Leonardo's discipline, Michelangelo's humor, Donatello's tech obsession, and Raphael's temper—while surprising audiences through the new setting and animation style. The short will debut theatrically on December 19, 2025, ahead of 'The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.' This project serves as a bridge for fans while the official sequel to 'Mutant Mayhem,' set for release in 2027, is in development.
