Colorado's Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders Earn Big 12 Awards

Colorado's Travis Hunter was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, while teammate Shedeur Sanders received the Offensive Player of the Year award, following a vote from the league’s coaches. Hunter, a dual-threat player, leads the league with 92 receptions, 1,152 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns, while also contributing defensively with four interceptions and 11 pass breakups. Sanders, who is the leading passer in the conference, completed 337 of 454 passes for a school-record 3,926 yards and 35 touchdowns. Arizona State's Kenny Dillingham earned the Coach of the Year title after leading the Sun Devils to a school-record improvement of seven wins, now set to compete in the Big 12 championship against Iowa State. Additionally, Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson was named Offensive Newcomer of the Year, and Colorado's BJ Green II was recognized as Defensive Newcomer of the Year.
