SEGA and RGG Studios have announced a Like a Dragon Direct set for January 9, 2025, which will delve into the upcoming game, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, featuring Goro Majima. In this spin-off, Majima finds himself stranded in Hawaii with no memory and becomes a pirate captain engaged in coastal underworld warfare, using action-based brawler combat with guns, swords, and ships. The game maintains the series' signature over-the-top action and quirky humor, with Majima steering a ship and having a pet tiger named Goro. The Direct will showcase new gameplay footage and mechanics, and fans can watch it via SEGA's YouTube or Twitch channels. The game is set to release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
