Vito the Pug Wins 2024 National Dog Show

Vito the pug has made history by becoming the first of his breed to win the Best in Show title at the 2024 National Dog Show, a prestigious event held in Oaks, Pennsylvania and broadcast after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Vito, owned by Carolyn Koch of North Carolina and handled by Michael Scott, surpassed nearly 2,000 other dogs representing over 200 breeds to claim the title. Known for his 'compact features and movement,' Vito has already earned 25 Best in Show titles in his young career. The Reserve Best in Show went to Verde, a Welsh Terrier, highlighting the diversity of breed winners. The National Dog Show, a Thanksgiving tradition, celebrated its 23rd televised event this year, continuing its long-standing reputation as a premier event in the canine competition circuit. This year also marked the debut of the Lancashire Heeler in the competition.
