Robert Cole Parmalee, a 40-year-old man from Oregon, has been arrested and charged with stalking and harassing UConn women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers. Parmalee, who claims to be a member of the royal family, sent rambling emails and threatening social media posts to Bueckers and her associates. He was initially arrested on August 27 near Bradley International Airport and later taken into custody by UConn police on September 13. Parmalee has been held on a $100,000 bond and faces charges of breach of peace, electronic stalking, and harassment. A judge has issued both a protective and no-contact order against him, and his next court appearance is scheduled for October 22.
