Raymundo Diaz Mendoza, known as Villano V, has passed away at the age of 62, confirmed by CMLL and various wrestling organizations. A member of the illustrious Mendoza wrestling family, he significantly impacted lucha libre, particularly noted for his memorable mask vs. mask match against Blue Panther at CMLL’s 75th Anniversary in 2008. Villano V, who debuted in 1975, was part of the successful faction Los Villanos with his four brothers and gained recognition in promotions like WCW, UWA, and AAA. His contributions to the sport earned him a place in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame alongside his brothers in 2022.
