Cambodian arrested in Thailand

Thai authorities recently detained three Cambodian pro-democracy activists, recognized as refugees by the United Nations, in preparation for a visit by Prime Minister Hun Manet, which has been condemned by human rights organizations. The activists had fled to Thailand to avoid political persecution and planned to hold a protest rally on the day of Hun Manet's arrival. They have been held at the Suan Phlu immigration detention centre in Bangkok, raising concerns about transnational repression and the cooperation between Cambodian and Thai authorities against refugees and human rights activists.
