Red Panda Injured During WNBA Halftime, Fever Win
Rong 'Krystal' Niu, known as Red Panda, suffered a fall from her 7-foot unicycle just seconds into her bowl-flipping act during the WNBA Commissioner's Cup final between the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx in Minneapolis. She appeared to injure her left wrist and back and was transported by ambulance after being helped off the court in a wheelchair, though she remained conscious throughout. Red Panda, a renowned halftime performer since 1993, has inspired audiences at NBA, WNBA, and college games, as well as on talent shows. The incident shocked fans and players, with Fever star Caitlin Clark and teammates sending public well-wishes for her recovery. There has been no official update on the severity of her injuries, but an outpouring of support has followed. Despite the incident, the Indiana Fever secured a decisive victory over the Lynx.
