Police Arrest 29 Cyber Fraudsters in Gurgaon

In a significant crackdown on cyber crime, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) arrested 27 individuals in Rajasthan involved in over 2,223 fraud cases nationwide, including 189 in Telangana. The operation revealed that the suspects facilitated cyber crimes through 29 mule bank accounts, with transactions amounting to ₹11.01 crore, of which ₹9 crore was tied to Telangana cases. Additionally, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended 26 suspects in multi-city raids targeting an organized cyber fraud syndicate, recovering substantial evidence including cash and luxury vehicles. Meanwhile, Gurugram Police arrested 29 fraudsters who had defrauded victims of approximately ₹24.1 crore, employing tactics such as fake KYC updates and impersonating tech support. The operations highlight a coordinated effort by various law enforcement agencies to combat rising cyber fraud across the country. Further investigations are ongoing to apprehend additional suspects linked to these networks.
