Multiple US Little League Teams Advance to Baseball, Softball World Series

Several youth baseball and softball teams across the U.S. are preparing for their respective World Series tournaments this summer. Bullard's 11-and-under baseball team from Fresno, California, is gearing up for the Cal Ripken World Series, marking the furthest advancement for any Bullard team in 20 years, with NFL veteran Anthony McCoy coaching the players on and off the field. The Guilford Little League softball team from Connecticut secured a spot in the Little League Softball World Series after a 1-0 victory over Maine, highlighted by a no-hitter performance from pitcher Maeve Eagleson. Meanwhile, the Lake Mary girls' 12U softball team in Florida is one win away from the Little League World Series after strong regional tournament performances, while the boys' 12U baseball team, last year’s World Series champions, prepares for the Southeast Regional Tournament. For the first time in its history, the Greater Manassas Baseball & Softball League in Virginia will send three teams to different Babe Ruth World Series tournaments, celebrating this milestone amid ongoing challenges with their home field facilities. These teams exemplify the growing competitiveness and dedication in youth baseball and softball leagues nationwide.
