Alaska Airman Charged with Child Exploitation

David Ibarra, a 31-year-old senior airman stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, has been charged with the sexual exploitation of a child after posing as a 13-year-old boy to coerce a 9-year-old girl into sending explicit images and videos. Ibarra met the victim on TikTok and continued communication on Roblox, offering money in exchange for the content and making 17 payments via Apple Pay totaling $191. The girl's parents discovered the situation, leading to an FBI investigation that identified Ibarra through his phone number and iCloud account. He admitted to coercing the Long Island girl and other minors, including one in New Jersey, into sending explicit photos. Ibarra has been held pending trial and faces a minimum sentence of 15 years if convicted. The FBI affirms its commitment to removing predators like Ibarra from the streets.
