Multiple U.S. Nonprofits Provide Shoes, Clothes to Kids in Need for School

Across the United States, various nonprofit organizations and community groups are stepping up to provide essential school items such as shoes, clothing, and school supplies to children in need ahead of the new school year. In San Antonio, the Salvation Army, supported by the Harvey Najim Charitable Foundation, has distributed free shoes to children for the ninth year running, easing financial burdens for families. Similarly, Marjorie's Hope in Pasco County, Florida, recently opened a boutique offering free new clothing and shoes to kids, overcoming setbacks caused by flooding to continue its mission. In Western New York, the 2 Pack A Backpack initiative collaborates with local partners to collect and distribute backpacks and school supplies to students in need. Kansas-based Sole Reason expanded its shoe donation program to Manhattan, focusing on boosting children's confidence and readiness for school through new sneakers. Additionally, Mansfield Police and Walmart in Ohio are collecting new shoes and socks to support children in the Richland County Children Services Kinship program and Mid-Ohio Youth Mentoring, addressing the significant demand in their community.
