Luke Johnson Named Non-Executive Chairman of Revolution Bars

Revolution Bars Group has appointed Luke Johnson as its new Non-Executive Chairman, replacing Keith Edelman, who held the position for nearly nine years. Johnson, an established figure in the hospitality sector with a 20% stake in the company, is recognized for his past roles at PizzaExpress and Gail's bakeries. His appointment follows a recent restructuring plan that included the closure of about 25 sites and a shift back to the AIM market, aimed at restoring profitability. CEO Rob Pitcher expressed optimism about Johnson's extensive experience guiding the next phase of the business. Edelman, in stepping down, noted that he leaves the company in a stronger position. The hospitality sector overall is seeing a cautious revival, with closures decreasing compared to the previous year.
