Jens Lehmann Fined and Arrested

Former Arsenal and Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been fined €135,000 for damaging his neighbor's garage with a chainsaw in July 2022, a penalty reduced from an initial €420,000. Lehmann accepted responsibility and resolved the dispute with his neighbor, also paying previously avoided parking fees. The public prosecutor criticized Lehmann for seemingly considering himself above the law. In a separate incident, Lehmann was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after attending Oktoberfest, where he was seen intoxicated and unable to complete a breathalyzer test, leading to the confiscation of his driver's license.
