Man charged after dog attack injures bystanders in Rugby

A 33-year-old man, Jamie Hoggins, has been charged in connection with a serious dog attack that occurred in Rugby on February 17. He faces multiple charges, including having a dog dangerously out of control causing injury, as well as animal welfare offences and possession of offensive weapons. The incident reportedly involved a boy and his dog being attacked, along with injuries sustained by members of the public who intervened. Ten dogs, including five American Bulldogs and four bull breed juveniles, were seized by police and are currently being cared for in kennels. Hoggins remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before Coventry magistrates. Authorities have assured the public that there is no wider risk related to the seized dogs.
