Hit-and-Run Driver Kills 60-Year-Old Man

Dennis Mannell Jr., a 61-year-old man from Louisville, was killed late Tuesday night while attempting to cross Deering Road on a mobility scooter in Valley Station. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m., and the vehicle that struck him fled the scene. He was transported to UofL Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival due to blunt force trauma. The Louisville Metro Police Department's Traffic Unit is conducting an investigation and is urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run to come forward. There have been no arrests made in connection with the incident as of yet. Authorities are working to gather details about the vehicle involved in the crash.
