LGBTQ Families Day Planned for June 2, 2025

June 2, 2025, marks the 20th Annual LGBTQ Families Day, a day dedicated to celebrating and raising awareness about the diversity and strength of LGBTQ families. Founded by the LGBTQ parenting site Mombian in 2006 and supported by numerous nonprofits and businesses, the event encourages participation through social media and community activities to uplift LGBTQ family stories. The day is intentionally placed at the start of Pride Month and between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to honor all parents and highlight non-traditional family structures. The celebration reflects two decades of progress in visibility and legal protections for LGBTQ families. Participants are encouraged to share family photos, anecdotes, and supportive messages using the hashtag #LGBTQFamiliesDay to amplify voices and experiences. This event underscores the ongoing importance of affirming diverse family forms and allies' support.
