A 16-year-old boy, Christopher Granados, was fatally shot at a multi-family residence in Wilton Manors on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at a building on the 400 block of Northwest 25th Street. Responding officers from Wilton Manors and Fort Lauderdale Police Departments, along with Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, found the teenager and transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Broward Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation, and authorities have confirmed that the shooting was contained to the residence with no threat to the community.
