Stockton Double Shooting Kills Man, Injures Teen, 25th Homicide
A shooting in downtown Stockton early Saturday resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man and left a 19-year-old man critically injured. The incident occurred around 12:19 a.m. on the 3100 block of East Main Street, with both victims transported to a hospital where the older man later died. Police have not identified a suspect, and the motive remains unknown, with homicide detectives currently investigating the case. This shooting adds to Stockton's ongoing violence this year, bringing the total homicides to 25, compared to 34 at this time last year. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Stockton Police Department or Crime Stoppers, which offers a reward for tips leading to an arrest. The 19-year-old victim is in critical but stable condition and expected to survive.
