King Charles, Queen Camilla Unveil Coronation Portraits

King Charles III and Queen Camilla have unveiled their official coronation state portraits at London's National Gallery, marking the second anniversary of their crowning at Westminster Abbey. The portraits—Charles by Peter Kuhfeld and Camilla by Paul S. Benney—are now part of The Royal Collection and were praised by the royal couple for their composition and likeness. The event also showcased a new historic collection of artwork commissioned by the King, including works capturing key moments from the coronation weekend and a notable drawing of Queen Camilla by Eileen Hogan, the first woman to be appointed as the official artist for such an event. The collection features paintings and sketches that document the coronation procession, ceremonies, and intimate moments, created by artists with longstanding relationships with Charles or as graduates of his Royal Drawing School. These works continue the tradition of royal portraiture, highlighting both the human and regal aspects of the monarchy.
