Modi Inaugurates Vande Metro and Gujarat Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate India's first 'Vande Metro' service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad, aimed at providing a premium short-distance travel experience. The Vande Metro will run six days a week and is expected to cover the 360-kilometre distance in 5 hours and 45 minutes. Modi will also inaugurate several other Vande Bharat trains and the second phase of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project, which includes an extension linking Ahmedabad with Gandhinagar and GIFT City. Additionally, Modi will launch multiple development projects in Gujarat worth over Rs 8,000 crore, including solar energy projects and the Single Window IT System while sanctioning over 30,000 houses under the PMAY-Gramin scheme. His visit marks his first to his home state since being sworn in for a third consecutive term.
