Thousands Prepare for Upcoming Marathon Festivals in Boston, Toledo, Newport

The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is set to take place from April 25 to April 27 in Toledo, Ohio, featuring a range of events for runners of all levels. Highlighting its reputation for competitive times, the marathon has seen over one-third of participants qualify for the Boston Marathon in previous years. The event includes a family-friendly Savage 5K on April 26, aimed at encouraging newcomers to the sport, with strollers allowed. Meanwhile, the iconic Boston Marathon will be held on April 21, celebrating its 129th edition, with elite runners from around the world participating, including last year's champions Hellen Obiri and Sisay Lemma. Both marathons are sanctioned events, with the Boston Marathon attracting a global audience and requiring participants to qualify based on time. The ABP Newport Marathon Festival on April 13 will also feature various races, including junior competitions, and is recognized for its fast course design.
