Man Arrested for UC Berkeley Shooting Incidents

A 45-year-old man from San Francisco has been arrested in connection with multiple shooting incidents near UC Berkeley on October 26. The suspect, who remains unnamed, was apprehended at his home where police discovered an extensive arsenal of firearms, including handguns, assault rifles, and over 15,000 rounds of ammunition. The shootings, which resulted in no injuries, occurred in various locations south of the campus. The investigation utilized witness accounts, surveillance footage, ShotSpotter technology, and automatic license plate readers to identify the suspect. He faces several charges, including assault with a firearm and willfully discharging a firearm at both occupied and unoccupied buildings or vehicles. He is currently held on a $480,000 bail, with arraignment scheduled for November 12.
