Florida Man Sentenced for Airbnb and PPP Fraud

Konrad Bicher, known as the 'Wolf of Airbnb,' was sentenced to 51 months in prison for defrauding New York City landlords and exploiting the federal government's pandemic relief program. Bicher illegally sublet more than 18 Manhattan apartments, generating over $1.1 million in rental income while failing to pay over $1 million in rent. Additionally, he fraudulently obtained $565,000 in PPP loans by claiming COVID-19-related hardships. Judge Lorna G. Schofield ordered Bicher to forfeit $1.7 million and pay $2.2 million in restitution. Bicher's actions included exploiting tenant protections and living lavishly, all while boasting about his fraudulent activities.
